Challenge.
We needed to develop a logo to represent the producer's clear focus, vision, and confidence in the music industry.
The producer already had an idea in mind for what they wanted. philigeemusic liked the idea of the letter G to feature as the prominent visual element with an overall minimal style and approach.
We proposed a minimal typographic solution would be most appropriate.
For the minimal approach, I would use a sans-serif typeface but also take the opportunity to inject a bit of flair into the typeface for added versatility to help establish visual hierarchy.
Not only did we develop what the client wanted but went the extra mile to develop a complete typeface built from the ground up including 2 styles the producer could not only use as part of the logo but as part of marketing and branded material.
The typeface would consist of a sans-serif and slab-serif typeface. These could be used together in dynamic ways to present new releases and feature on typographic posters and album covers allowing for a fully unique brand persona.

The hyper minimal logo approach not only works well as a stand-alone in black and white but also gels perfectly with more complex textured and motion backgrounds, perfect for promoting new tracks, and mixes in visually exciting ways.
